The Blue Angel

Germany 1930 | 108 minutes | German, French, English | Hebrew, English subtitles

Professor Immanuel Rath is shocked. Instead of staying home at night, his students frequent the Blue Angel nightclub. One evening, Professor Rath follows them to the dubious establishment, where he meets singer Lola Lola and falls for her charm. When his nocturnal adventure is discovered, he is dismissed. He asks for Lola’s hand in marriage and accompanies her on tour. But while Lola rises to become a respected artist, the professor develops into a pathetic clown.
