Author and translator Ruby Namdar, winner of the 2014 Sapir Prize for “The Ruined House,” is a key figure in contemporary Hebrew literature and for over three decades, a resident of New York. His short story collection “Big Fish” (Kinneret Zmora-Bitan Dvir Publishing, 2023) grapples with timeless questions of identity, place and belonging.
