Egoist

Though losing his mother at a young age, Kôsuke believes in life. He's a successful magazine editor, lives in a posh apartment in Tokyo and begins a relationship Ryûta, a personal trainer. Ryûta is devoted to his mother, who raised him and is now ill. These relationships compose the plot of Daishi Matsunaga's work, "a joy; a satisfyingly textured, bittersweet character study infused with warmth and energy" (Screen International). This could not have been achieved without the exceptional cast, whose performances form full, complex, and genuine characters.
