Chaos

Bourgeois Paul and Helene are driving to a party one evening when a young woman throws herself against the window of their car, begging for help. Paul refuses to let her in, and the couple watches as the girl is beaten mercilessly by a group of thugs. Paul wants to stay out of it, but Helene takes an interest in the girl, and begins to spend most of her time at her hospital bedside. When the pimps come to get Noemie out of the hospital, Helene smuggles her out to her mother's country home, where she hears the girl's harrowing story.
