I Capture the Castle

UK 2003 | 113 minutes | English | Hebrew subtitles

Britain, 1930s. The Mortmain family settles in some castle because the father is indisputably certain this is where he will write his masterpiece. When the two sons of the heiress of the estate arrive, they do not evict the family but fall in love with Rose, the Mortmain family's beautiful daughter. Cassandra, her younger sister – through whose eyes the story unfolds – is also experiencing an emotional awakening and all this tangle is about to turn their lives upside-down. I Capture the Castle is the kind of British comedy that is hardly ever made anymore: with eccentric but lovable characters, a pinch of romance, and all-around heartwarming feeling.
