Big Wednesday

USA 1978 | 120 minutes | English | Hebrew subtitles

A farewell from the 1960s movie in which we follow three west coast surfers for ten years. John Milius (the screenwriter of Apocalypse Now and Conan the Barbarian) explores manhood, which is displayed in a series of flawed models, and that – as the place they live in – need to grow up. But by depicting the sun and the sea, the exhilarating atmosphere, and the movement of the waves, Milius managed to capture a cultural and social phenomenon that defined an entire generation - in America and around the world.
