Angelo My Love

Angelo is a young gypsy kid living in New York. At the beginning of the film, he is robbed of a special ring that he was saving for the girl he'd eventually want to marry. He and his family head off after the thief (also a gypsy). Their search takes them through New York State, Canada, and back. Robert Duvall's first feature film is full of documentary elements, including the actors who play themselves. The rough and enchanting drama provides a rare look into the lives of New York's gypsies.
