Told in flashbacks, four 12-year-olds from a small town in Oregon take to the woods in search of a missing child. Based on a novella by Stephen King, Rob Reiner created one of the great coming-of-age films of recent decades. Stand by Me is a film that manages to maintain the exact tension between melancholy and completion and most importantly makes your heart tighten a little bit more.
