It all begins with what looks like a routine family trip to the beach. But that's when everything starts to get complicated. Seventeen-year-old Liz, the daughter to middle-class parents, is arrested and interrogated following the tragic death of her best friend. The suspicions wreak havoc within the family; each parent deals with the predicament in a completely different manner while the daughter is surprisingly and disturbingly restrained. This third feature by Stéphane Demoustier is a clever and unusual courtroom drama that centers upon the fine acting performances by Chiara Mastroianni and Roschdy Zem as the parents, Anaïs Demoustier (the sister of the director who plays the plaintiff), and the young Melissa Guers, who shows great promise.
