Who can you trust when you are frantically escaping Nazi-occupied Denmark? It’s 1943 and Arne Itkin, a Jewish jazz musician is living in Copenhagen with his wife and son. Rumors are spreading that the Germans are planning to deport all Danish Jews, and as the raid begins, the family barely manages to escape. They are told they could be sailed across to Sweden by local fishermen, but collaborators are soon on their track.
A gripping drama inspired by the true story of the director’s grandfather, who helped sail Danish Jews to Sweden during the Holocaust.
