Looking For Chloé

France 2023 | 52 minutes | French, English | Hebrew subtitles

A documentary portrait of Egyptian Jewish fashion designer Gaby Aghion (1921 – 2014), founder of the Chloé Fashion House. Ahead of her time, Gaby Aghion was a pioneering figure who coined the term “prêt-à-porter” and gave women lighter, more wearable outfits, dressing the likes of Brigitte Bardot, Jackie Kennedy, and Maria Callas. With previously unseen footage and interviews, filmmaker Isabelle Cottençeau offers a captivating representation of a woman who set out to revolutionize society through fashion.
