White Plastic Sky

Set one hundred years into the future on a planet devoid of resources. To preserve the human race, people at 50 go through a process that turns them into a tree, which contributes a little oxygen to the biosphere. Stefan is 30 and indifferent about the process and the future. All of this turns around when it becomes clear to him that his partner Nora chose to move her transplant process sooner. Now, he sets on a journey to bring her back to life. In rotoscoped animation that allows the directors to emphasize the emotional dimension of their heroes, they hang on to the dystopian plot to engage with questions of love and commitment.
