Venus Peter

Peter is a dreamer living on a small Scottish island. He sees himself as a Boy of the Sea, and as much his family tries to get his feet back on land, he lives in his imagination. His thoughts are devoted to his estranged father and, inspired by his beloved teacher, to poetry and music. Venus Peter is formed with subtle scenes of adolescence. The wild landscapes, the way the camera captures them, and the sympathetic presence of Gordon Strachan in the lead role give the film its power.
