In a Lonely Place

USA 1950 | 93 minutes | English | Hebrew subtitles

A Hollywood screenwriter is the main suspect in a murder but is provided an alibi by his neighbor. As the two grow closer, she cannot help but worry he might be the killer. This is a refined Film Noir that uses the genre's tropes to plant uncertainty. Stupendous performances by Humphrey Bogart and Gloria Grahame only add to this masterpiece.
