Mattie Ross wants revenge for her father's death. She hires the services of a tough US marshal, who has seen a thing or two in his life. Together they track down the killer in 19th century Wild West America. With no gimmicks, but with full control and knowledge of the genre, the Coen Brothers present their version of the western. It is a sweeping, tough, and epic western, where goodies and baddies are replaced by dubious morals and characters who are neither good nor bad. The result is one of the Coen Brothers most approachable and popular films of the past few years.
