Five Broken Cameras

Israel 2012 | 90 minutes | Arabic, Hebrew | Hebrew, English subtitles

When his fourth son is born in 2005, self-taught cameraman Emad Burnat gets his first camera. At the same time, in his village of Bil’in, Israel’s separation barrier is being built. In the years that follow, Burnat films the villagers’ peaceful resistance, while also documenting his son. Very soon, events begin to personally affect him and his family.
