18 years after the death of playwright and director Hanoch Levin comes an expansive series that recounts his personal and artistic biography in four chapters. Levin was one of Israel’s greatest playwrights – a sharp, witty, cruel mind – and a rare truth-teller, who expressed what Israelis dared not tell themselves. The series features Israeli theater’s leading actors and directors, and it reintroduces audiences to Levin’s plays. It aims to paint a portrait of Levin, the enigmatic character, and also to portray the country depicted in his plays.
