Asia and Marek bought a house in the oldest forest in Europe. This is where their three children were born, raised, and educated. Far from social institutions and immersed in a rich environment, the family created a unique routine in a place they consider a haven. This routine is fragmented when they realize that the forest serves as a transit route for refugees seeking to reach the EU. Now, their private paradise has become a political space, and life as they know it will change. Against the backdrop of the vast forest, the refugees resemble shadows passing by in the darkness. Their movement rattles the family's emotional core and their humane commitment while changing their relationship to the forest.
