The film depicts the life of Jewish immigrants in Argentina at the turn of the 20th century. These refugees who escaped the pogroms in Europe, settled in Argentina, and though they lacked the experience, asked to make a living from agriculture. Jusid describes the great physical and emotional exertion they had to endure from this labor.
