Halakeh | Four Entered a Grove

A young religious family is on their way to Mt. Meron for the halakeh ceremony for their three-year old son, where a boy’s hair is cut for the first time. The husband, Yoni, has become a Hassidic Breslov, while his wife Yael has remained in a more moderate, mainstream branch of Judaism. The long journey brings their conflict into sharp relief

Four men, one experience and a fate already known. One cast a look and died, one looked and was hurt, one turned his back on his roots, and only one entered well and came out well. An experimental film, inspired by the midrash, and taking place on a night when anything could happen.
